There have been 8 eight bomb blasts in 5 months. It is record of sorts.
We do hear politically correct statements often.
BANGALADESHIS HAVE NO BUSINESS TO BE IN
FINISH OFF ULFA: CENTER TO
Apparently, the problem, cause and the cure are all known to the Govt of the day as
both the above statements were made by none other than the Home Minister himself.
How much has been done after these statements were made for any one to see and judge.
So long as the Bangla borders are open and serve as invitation to HUJI and the ULFA,what else can be expected?
ISI is known to be active on Indian eastern borders and LeT along with HUJI are having a field day with our spineless Govt in center and the state. They seem to be more concerned about their power sharing formula for the next 5 yrs rather than the security of the country. Otherwise, why has no action been taken by the center and the state along Bangla border?
We must understand that this problem is going to create larger issues as the Demographic changes are taking place due to infiltration and the ratios are changing.
Times Now showed to the nation, yesterday,
Why has the Govt not reacted?
Why is the Govt not concerned?
Let us not forget….
(a) 7th April is the Raising day of the ULFA.
(b)PM was due to visit
(c)PM represents
Considering the above three sensitive issues, should not have the Govt taken extra care?
ULFA Raising day has been always a cause of worry, so why were preventive measures not taken?
Why is the state Govt soft on ULFA?
Why is the state Govt soft on HUJI?
Do these two outfits have local support?
With experience of the past, I do see something like the following happening in the next few days about yesterday’s blast……
Center….we give intelligence inputs to the state.
State……we did have some information, it was intelligence failure
State…….we will not allow such incidents to occur again.
Police……we have some clues and soon they will be caught.
State/center…it is state subject. It is center’s responsibility
BJP………Congress has failed to curb terror as they did not have POTA like law.
Congress…BJP has no moral right to speak on this; they are the ones who went to Kandhar.
TV Channels….Group discussions with some “experts” along with spokespersons of Congress and the BJP with some representative from Left front to add to humor. They will all trade charges against each other more because of forth-coming elections, rather than security of the country.
Now the time has come when only some divine intervention can help us against terror.
On our own, we don’t seem to have, Political will, Inclination,Guts,Infrastructure to take on the terror.
Also minority appeasement has to stop.
TERROR TARGETS ECONOMIC PROGRESS: PRANAB(ET13/01/09)
STOP EXPORTING
All these statements sound music to the ears. Don’t they?

National security or national integrity: every thing seems to be on sale! The whole political landscape of our country needs to be changed. No one can reform these political parties: they need to be displaced and replaced by a whole new political system where we have uniform civil code, scrapping of article 370, no reservation, and secularism coupled with strong national security measures! Is that possible?
Very true, we also need to have now a stable government which doesn't waste its time on satisfying and pleasing its allies, and instead that time and effort and money has to be used for national security.
Media, they have to come above all kind of non-sense and TRPs and should show the right face of the everyone at primetime. They should stop befooling us now.
Assam is almost on the verge of becoming a Bangladeshi majority state. Bangladeshis have been systematically allowed to settle in West Bengal by the Left and are their vote bank. The Congress put in place the IMDT Act to prevent deportation of Bangladeshis. Even when the Supreme Court struck it down, the Congress brought in a provision that makes deportation almost impossible. The Supreme Court says this influx is an aggression on India. But the government does nothing. All these statements are meaningless. Nothing is being done on ground. Votes override every thing else.
This post was a real eye-opener. There are several points you have made which I am sure many would not have given a thought to (at least I had not). Your point about the changing demographics in the NE in general and Assam in particular is very unnerving. It has serious consequences for sure!
I used to argue with friends that even though politicians are power-hungry and thirsty for votes, in matters of national security they would not compromise. I mean - corruption is one thing - but even the cheapest of netas must have some miniscule amount of patriotism at the very least. But the IMDT Act episode makes me eat my words.
And your prediction about the reaction to the blasts came true - each and every actor, each and every role which you articulated above has been enacted to the dot. I would have termed it as funny, if not for the seriousness of the issue at hand!
