Indian Army oath … “I hereby solemnly swear that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India, as by law established and that I will, as in duty bound honestly and faithfully, serve in the regular Army of the Union of India and go wherever ordered, by land, sea or air, and that I will observe and obey all the commands of the President of the Union of India and the commands of any officer set above me, even to the peril of my life.”
India has a gift from politicians, the gift which has divided Indian society on lines or religion,region and cast basis….
Not even worst enemies of India will ever raise a finger on the qualities and discipline of Indian army .. But, our present day politicians think differently …
Perhaps, there isn’t one single officer in Indian Army whose father has been a MLA or MP ….
It is time, India made military training compulsory for every citizen as he or she attains an age of 16 .. We will see a different India wher no one will ever say .. TU JANTA HAI MERA BAAP KUAN HAI … This Damn attitude has to change and there is no better route than Military Training..
There are countries where military training is compulsory for a term of two years … Look at the discipline and commitment of every citizen in Israel and Singapore.. When it comes to countries that require both men and women to serve, Israel stands out as the trendsetter. Its policy of mandatory military service for both genders is long-standing…

A retired Army officer told me “This country will remain united so long as Military is not politicised” …
Playing politics is job of a politician, but, defaming. Abusing and running down Army is not politics by any stretch of imagination …
Every time we see a man in uniform, Least we can do is to Salute him or her, Irrespective Of their rank…I do and I will continue to do so …
These politicians have no clue of the conditions at Siachen under which our brave soldiers are ready to fight the enemy….
